Creative Journey
If I had to sum up my creative journey, it would start with taking senior portraits of high schoolers and shooting weddings, and now I lead a team of designers and developers on campaigns for some of the world's top brands. It might seem random, but every step has shaped the work I'm proud to share today.
Here's the longer version: I graduated from the Mason Gross School of the Arts and kicked off my career by taking senior portraits and working weddings on the weekends. To make some extra cash, I worked at a physical therapy clinic, where a patient introduced me to a recruiter at McCann. That’s how I found out about portfolio schools and ended up at the Creative Circus in Atlanta. After graduating two years later, I moved back to New Jersey and started freelancing at Digitas.
During this time, I got married and memorized every font and hex value in the AMEX style guide. I had the chance to work with some amazing people and create awesome campaigns. Then I moved to thelab, worked on the Disney Vacation Club, and even made a Muppet for Disney with Jim Henson’s Creature Shop. I also picked up some new hex values along the way.
I had a kid, switched from the ad world in NYC to the PR world in NJ, and became an executive producer on a 40-minute documentary about the opioid crisis. Had a second kid. Continued to bigger and better projects and even pulled off events at multiple Super Bowls and X Games. Now I look forward to continuing my journey in this crazy world of creative and hopefully we cross paths along the way.
